1 Day Acuvue Oasys now at CatinoEyeCare Wilmington, NC

CatinoEyeCare is  one of the first offices in Wilmington, NC to offer the new Acuvue Oasys 1 Day contact lens.  We have started fitting the lens with excellent feedback from our patients. We now have a contact lens that will give our patients the all day comfort they expect during their demanding days.  The new Acuvue Oasys 1 day lens was built with HydraLuxe technology.  It is made on the same successful platform of the Acuvue Oasys 2 week lens, which has never been beat head to head on comfort.  59% of all contact lens wearers show a pattern of declining performance with their contacts during the day.  One of the top symptoms identified are Tired and Dry Eyes.  As we know the more activities and the more demands we have throughout the day, the more our contact lenses decline in comfort, satisfaction, and most importantly vision.  Dr. Gilbert Catino and Dr. Kelly Catino at CatinoEyeCare believe they now have the best lens for the demands of today’s patients.  We have been lucky enough to be one of the first offices in Wilmington, NC to offer this breakthrough technology.

HydraLuxe Technology is a Tear-infused Design that is made up of an enhanced moisture network.  The highly breathable hydrated silicone is designed with tear like molecules that integrate with the patients own tear film.  This technology is what gives this new lens the superior all day comfort in a 1 day disposable contact.  The optical zone of the contact lens has been enlarged to provide a wider coverage of pupil sizes in various environmental light conditions.  This wider optical zone gives this lens superior optical properties and crisp clear vision.  The Acuvue Oasys 1 Day still has the Class I UV blocking properties, which block >90% UVA and >99% UVB, built into the lens!
